Introduction
The Programmes and Content Team sits within Participation, the main public engagement team at UK Parliament. It works in collaboration with teams to deliver new activities and specialist programmes that engage the public with the work of UK Parliament, as well as leading on Participation content projects across a range of formats, including print and digital.
The Role
Reporting to the Programmes and Content Manager, the Programmes and Content Lead will be responsible for scoping new themes and activity ideas, in line with strategic priorities, as well as coordinating and delivering engaging programmes of activity for Participation's priority audiences.
Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
- Support with the coordination of Participation programmes and activities, ensuring they are delivered on-time and in line with agreed objectives.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and compile into scoping reports to inform decision-making regarding the development of new strategic programmes and activities.
- Support the Programmes and Content Manager with the coordination of the UK Parliament anniversary programme, making sure teams are on track with the delivery of their activities and ensuring that we have the necessary information to deliver progress reports to senior stakeholders.
- Develops narratives and key messages for new events and activities, that will engage and resonate with priority audiences.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Experience of working independently to coordinate programmes or projects, ensuring they are delivered on-time and in line with agreed objectives.
- Ability to extract relevant information from a variety of sources to compile into scoping reports that will assist decision-making regarding the development of new strategic programmes.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels to achieve common goals.
- Ability to develop narratives and key messages for events and activities, ensuring content is accessible and resonates with priority audiences.
