Professional Services Engineer - Training Lead (Electrical Engineering, PNT/GNSS, Python/C++/MATLAB)

Location: Remote - with occasional visits to Devon + 50% international travel

Their innovative portfolio addresses the test, assurance, and automation needs across emerging technologies such as 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, and Autonomous Vehicles.

The Candidate: The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or have equivalent industry experience. A strong background in PNT/GNSS technologies is highly desirable, along with Scripting or programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB. A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time are essential.

The Role: Reporting to the UK-based Business Development team, the Professional Services Engineer - Training Lead will be responsible for the design and delivery of technical training programs for global customers, both remotely and in-person. This role also supports customer acceptance testing and requires strong collaboration with Sales, Global Services, and Business Development teams. Occasional visits to the office in Devon are expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Training Development & Delivery: Design and deliver tailored training programs for the company's solutions, adaptable for various technical skill levels and industries.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to ensure training content is accurate, current, and aligned with product developments.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Engage with clients to understand training requirements and customise learning paths accordingly.
  • Flexible Training Formats: Conduct both live and virtual training sessions, adjusting delivery methods to customer needs and global locations.
  • Technology Insight: Stay current with GNSS and PNT advancements, as well as evolving training practices.
  • Sales Enablement Support: Collaborate with Business Development and Sales to identify and support training opportunities that drive customer success.
  • Content Creation: Partner with the Sales Enablement team to develop training materials, demos, and competitive analysis tools.
  • Client Relationship Building: Foster strong client relationships across key sectors (eg, military, automotive, telecom) through impactful training and support.
  • Documentation & Feedback: Maintain records of training activity, client feedback, and progress to drive ongoing improvements.
  • Global Strategy Implementation: Ensure consistent quality and standards across global training initiatives.
  • Internal Collaboration: Provide insights and feedback to Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams for continuous enhancement of offerings.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share best practices and key learnings across internal teams to support a unified customer engagement strategy.
  • Program Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and KPIs.
  • Professional Services Support: Occasionally assist with other service tasks such as test scenario creation, as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field-or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with PNT/GNSS technologies, including testing and analysis
  • Proficiency in Scripting/programming (preferably Python, C++, and MATLAB)
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Skilled in delivering technical presentations and engaging training sessions
  • Proven customer-facing experience with a relationship-building focus
  • Experience with GNSS simulation equipment or receivers is advantageous
  • Familiarity with IMUs and GNSS vulnerabilities is a plus
  • Additional language skills are a benefit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to promote products and services collaboratively across teams
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and time management skills
  • Solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving instincts
