Job Description
Our client is a world leader in cellular material technology, headquartered in Croydon, UK, with additional manufacturing sites in Kentucky, USA and Brzeg, Poland, Oklahoma, USA (foam products manufacture and conversion), Massachusetts, USA and Stilling, Denmark (microcellular foam technology) and Jiangsu Province, China (T-FIT).

They produce lightweight foams for various markets including sports and leisure, aviation, automotive and healthcare. Our client also owns and licenses patented technology and sells advanced insulation systems. The business is also investing in a revolutionary packaging technology solution, which is both fully recyclable and largely circular.

About the Role:

Production Operatives provide a key role in the business where they work in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner whilst operating various equipment and processes within their organisation.
They produce products that consistently meet company specifications and standards on every shift.

Role Responsibilities:

In this role you will monitor the performance of all the sections equipment and products and ensure that they all comply with current technical specifications and procedures. You will also be aware of and able to implement all current policies, practices, procedures, and specifications relating to that process/section.

In addition, you will ensure handover to the next shift is conducted in an orderly manner and in line with current procedures and practices and report all unsafe equipment and practices to the Line Manager and any problems experienced during the operation.

You will be aware of and able to implement all current policies, practices, procedures, and specifications relating to that process/section. Whilst implementing the necessary corrective actions to keep the operation within the required specifications and inform the Line Manager.

Maximise output and quality yields by applying Best Practice and operating procedures and conduct any additional required duties.

Experience and desirable skills:
  • Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline
  • GCSE English and Maths
  • A clear understanding of OHSE requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 years experience of working in a manufacturing/production environment is desirable.
  • Ability to train others, impart and share information effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain records and report discrepancies.
  • Proactive approach teamed with sound decision-making skills.
  • Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Basic IT skills
