Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner with extensive experience in commercial pricing for 3rd-party customers, including pricing strategies and price governance processes within the Pharma, Life Science, and MedTech industries. This role requires a deep understanding of pricing optimization, quoting processes, and stakeholder reporting needs in large, multinational companies operating in complex selling environments.

As a Product Owner - Pricing & Analytics, you will drive pricing excellence by leveraging data-driven insights, optimizing commercial pricing processes, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Commercial Operations, and IT, to develop and enhance pricing solutions, governance frameworks, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure pricing and reporting solutions align with commercial business needs.
  • Drive the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of commercial pricing processes, governance, and optimization frameworks for 3rd-party customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement price governance models and commercial pricing strategies.
  • Define and prioritize product backlog items related to pricing tools, reporting, and analytics.
  • Work with Tableau and Snowflake platforms to support data visualization and reporting needs.
  • Oversee Front End report design and ensure insights align with business requirements.
  • Leverage knowledge of Conga reporting (a plus) to enhance pricing analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure all commercial pricing and quoting processes adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company compliance frameworks.
  • Support stakeholder reporting needs by providing actionable, data-driven insights to optimize pricing decisions.
  • Utilize SAFe Agile methodologies to manage product roadmaps, prioritize features, and drive execution.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Commercial Operations, and IT teams to align pricing strategies with business goals.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial pricing for 3rd-party customers, including pricing strategies and price governance.
  • Strong background in the Pharma, Life Science, or MedTech industry.
  • In-depth understanding of pricing optimization and quoting processes in multinational enterprises with complex sales environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau and Snowflake for data visualization and analytics.
  • Experience in Front End report design and knowledge of Conga reporting (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into pricing strategies and reporting solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and product ownership best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Conditions: this role is hybrid based in Basel, Switzerland, max 90 days onsite per year
