Functieomschrijving

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Design Engineer to develop high-precision motion and control systems for next-generation semiconductor equipment. This role involves designing, integrating, and testing mechatronic sub-systems that achieve sub-nanometer accuracy in optical positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mechatronic design concepts and advanced control techniques for high-precision motion systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, software, and optics teams to ensure system reliability.
• Work with external suppliers and cross-functional teams on product design and optimization.
• Conduct risk analysis, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering to enhance system performance.
• Participate in concept design and testing of future high-precision equipment.
• Occasionally travel to the US and Asia for technical collaboration.

Functie-eisen Qualifications & Experience:

• MSc or PhD in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Technical Physics with a focus on Dynamics & Control.
• 5+ years of experience in high-precision mechatronic systems and control engineering.
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, and Python (preferred).
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects involving mechatronics, optics, and software.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
