That said, it's essential applicants have previous PR / comms experience, as well as a passion for current affairs and keeping up with the latest news. Strong writing skills are also essential.

The corporate affairs team sits at the heart of the business, overseeing all PR and Public Affairs activity. You'll be promoting the business' proactive campaigns, as well taking a key role in managing reactive press enquiries on a broad range of issues.

Ideal for someone wanting to develop a career in communications, this role will offer a sound foundation in PR with the opportunity to expand the remit for the right candidate. You'll gain hands on experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including different types of media and colleagues throughout the business.

Based in stunning central London offices (3 days in per week) this FTSE 250 company touches on a remarkable breadth of sector activity. Current focus areas include decarbonisation & net zero, technology and AI, and skills apprenticeships. Other services it offers include risk assessment, real estate, catering and environmental. Indeed it manages and maintains some of the nation's most recognised landmarks, high street buildings, retail outlets and even homes in the community

As such this is a varied and rewarding role, with examples of duties including:

- responsibility for for maintaining the company's newsroom, distributing press releases and ensuring content is kept up to date
- being an advocate for the PR team, compiling evaluation reports to play back success internally and increasing awareness of the support the team provides
- supporting with public affairs activity on an ad hoc basis, as part of the team's integrated approach to external communications.
