Job Title: Account Director
Location: London (Hybrid: Monday & Friday remote, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in-office)
Salary: £45-60k p.a. + staff bonus scheme and a range of benefits

The company works with clients across Health, Education, Tech, and Clean Energy/environmental, helping them communicate their positive contributions to complex global issues.

With a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and a passion for driving change, my client has ambitious growth plans and is looking for an Account Director to join their dynamic and expanding team.

The Role
They are seeking an exceptional Account Director to lead diverse programmes of work across Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, reputation management, and crisis communications. The main focus of the role is corporate communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing client account teams, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction
  • Delivering impactful Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and digital programmes
  • Running a press office, media planning, and reputation management
  • Building strong relationships with clients, journalists, political and industry stakeholders
  • Writing corporate materials, press releases, and political analysis
  • Managing and overseeing events in the UK, including Parliament and Party Conferences
  • Contributing to pitching, business development, and writing proposals
  • Networking and winning new business
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in an agency or equivalent role and demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of managing complex client programmes with high client satisfaction
  • A proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Experience in pitching creative ideas and delivering them effectively
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in digesting and communicating complex policy issues
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality client service
  • Experience in line management and developing junior team members
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for understanding and addressing complex world issues
