Job Description
Blackpool Primary Schools are Seeking PPA Cover Teachers from September

Your new company
Various schools in the Blackpool area have approached Hays seeking long-term PPA teachers to join their team, to assist in covering classes across KS1 and KS2. The length of time can vary depending on the particular schools needs however we supply day to day, short and long-term positions so there would be a role to suit your needs. Hays have an exceptionally good working relationship with these schools and have always received great feedback from staff placed there, with some members even securing permanent roles.

Your new role
This role is to support class teachers who need to take time out of their days to plan and prepare lessons, so you will be required to cover classes in both KS1 and KS2. You will be working as a PPA cover teacher, and you will be delivering pre-planned lessons to a range of different classes and year groups, which you may occasionally be required to mark if the class teacher is still unavailable. This is a great role for an NQT/ECT to gain experience in various classrooms or for those teachers who are looking to take a step back from the full teaching role but still be involved. This is an added benefit as it frees up your own personal time outside of school. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, it is imperative that you hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is preferred. However, as previously stated, the school will also consider NQT/ECT's.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
