We are looking for ahighly experienced and motivated individual with a track record ofstrong electrical, hydraulic and engine troubleshooting skills whowould be suited to a role in a large workshop environment andtasked with the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery. JobDescription:

Asa Rebuild Repair Engineer you will be based in one of Finning'sworkshops, It will be your role to ensure products within theConstruction Equipment product group operate, and will continue tooperate for the foreseeable future, to Finning standards andcustomerrequirements
MajorJobFunctions
- Undertakea detailed inspection of the machine to confirm or expand on anyinitial field inspection report so that a commercial assessment ofthe likely repair, replacement refurbishment work can bemade.
- Carryout standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable moreaccurate cost evaluations or for the issue of condition andwarranty agreements tocustomers.
- Producea comprehensive list of parts and materials required for theproposed machine preparationwork.
- Undertakeoverhaul, repair or refurbishment work on the machine to the agreedwork plan, removing and dispatching components for specialistattention, re-installing the original or replacement part orrepairing originalparts.
- Inspectand test completed machine to ensure unit is operating to expectedperformancelevels.

- Deepunderstanding of the use of general service manuals andcomputerised Service Information System (SIS) from theOEM
- Practicalknowledge of tooling and specialised equipment to conduct repairson difficult and heavymachinery
- Practicalknowledge of rigging, slinging and jackingprocedures
- Electrical,hydraulic and mechanical fittingknowledge
Accountability
Adhereto agreed job times. Ensure the highest quality of finishedmachines. Maintain availability of machines ready to hire andpresentation of machine stock parked in yard. Ensure positivefeedback/nil customer complaints. Constant awareness of SHEQobligations and zero accidents by maintaining a tidy and safeworkingarea.
EducationandExperience
- Preferablywith a background plant machinery or similar industries i.e. HGV /agriculture
- Eitherapprentice trained or minimum 5 years' experience in qualityservice environment within a similarindustry
- Alicence to drive reach trucks isrequired
- Practicalexperience in operating construction equipment in confined spacesand mechanical fitting work on large-scalemachines
