Afantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highlymotivated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join TheCherwell Hospital. The successful Pharmacy Technician will workwithin a team of Pharmacists and Technicians providing support tothe wider hospital team andpatients.

Therole

Inthis role you will be an integral part of a team who are committedto delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supportedenvironment, where you will be valued for your skills andexpertise. This role comprises of but is not limited to:

  • Bean expert in procurement of medicines and or medical devices(including any unlicensedmedicines)
  • To ensure themaintenance of a high standard of stock control and stock rotationfor medicines
  • To supervise the daily stocklevel/expiry checks as per audit requirement and be responsible formaking the necessaryadjustments
  • Manage medicinesinvoicing as per Ramsay Guidelines
  • Be an integral partof staff development and training throughout the hospital, as wellas supporting the team to make decisions and introduce innovativeand streamlinedprocesses.
  • Support thepharmacy manager in medicinesreconciliation
  • Supportboth the pharmacy and wider hospital teams withaudits
  • Be able toprovide ad hoc support to our sister hospital in Milton Keynes.
  • To work alongside the pharmacymanager to supervise a rolling monthly check of the departmentalholding of Controlled Drugs reporting any discrepancies to thepharmacy manager
  • To detect, record and reportdrug related clinical incidents according to hospitalpolicy
  • Together with pharmacy manager develop,update and implement changes to pharmacy procedures asnecessary

Thesuccessful candidate will hold the following essentialqualifications/criteria :

  • NVQ3,BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalentlevel
  • Registered withthe General Pharmaceutical Council as a PharmacyTechnician
  • We welcome applicationsfrom hospital or community or candidates from other sectors ofpharmacy seeking new experiences or are keen to develop theirskills in a different area ofpractice.
  • We require you to haveclear and confident communication skills, be patientfocused
  • Proven abilityto work effectively in a team environment and independently asrequired
  • Flexibilityand adaptability to meet the changing needs of thebusiness
  • Have theability to make decisions and use yourinitiative
  • Passion todeliver excellent care in a rewarding and friendlyenvironment
  • Have afull Driving License and be able to commute to other Ramsay sites(in specific for Induction and Procurementtraining)
