Payroll Clerk

Your new firm
An established firm based in Liverpool are seeking to recruit a Payroll Clerk to join their team. This firm has been established in the market for over 70 years, serving clients across Merseyside, the North West and North Wales. They provide a range of accountancy, taxation, audit, and payroll services to their clients. It is a general practice whose clients are a variation of sole traders and limited companies across a range of industries.
Your new role
As Payroll Clerk, you will provide support in the efficient and effective processing of payrolls for the firms clients. You will manage your own portfolio of client payrolls and will manage and process payrolls, establishing good working relationships with clients. You will be required to keep up to date on relevant legislation and industry changes and you will work within the payroll team. You will also assist clients with payroll related queries and be required to work as part of an efficient payroll team.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in payroll within a practice environment. You will need excellent organisational and time management skills as you will need to be able to work to tight deadlines. You will need to work as part of an effective team and have excellent customer service skills. Relevant payroll qualifications are not necessary but are ideal.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary of around £30,000, depending on experience. You will be able to have hybrid and flexible working options with this firm, with most staff working 3 days at home and 2 days in office.
