Your new companyA professional consultancy company based in Bournemouth is looking for an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their team due to business growth, they have an impressive number of projects in their pipeline. The role could suit someone with 12-24 months experience looking to gain more accounting experience working on a full-time basis, or a more experienced bookkeeper looking to work on a part-time basis.
Your new role
In this position, you'll oversee the company's financial transactions to maintain smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will involve quickly processing sales invoices, allocating customer payments, and managing credit control by setting and monitoring customer credit limits. Additionally, you'll ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payment runs, reconcile ledgers monthly, and handle petty cash and payroll. Your role is crucial for the company's financial well-being, and you may also be asked to perform various ad hoc tasks to support the team.
