Educational Outreach Teacher Job Available in South Wales

Are you a qualified teacher looking for an exciting, rewarding, and engaging role in South Wales? Do you have experience of delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum? Are you passionate about nature, the environment, and making a difference to children's learning and development?If you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Teacher to deliver an Education Outreach Programme for one of Wales' largest utilities Companies. You will be expected to deliver engaging presentations within school assemblies, and to run school workshops for primary-aged children across South Wales. Your work shall be split between visiting schools and welcoming groups of visiting school children to the company's education centre.
This is a full-time role, working 5 days a week starting from the October Half Term 2024 and lasting until the end of March.
Key responsibilities shall include:

  • Delivering engaging assemblies and workshops to primary age children
  • Inspiring and informing young people on the role of the company and the public
  • Working in line with the National Curriculum for Wales
  • Develop and maintain educational resources created initially by previous incumbents of the position
  • Undertake administrative arrangements associated with education visits in South Wales.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Wales to keep session content current, relevant, and appealing.
  • Support promoting the education programme to schools within the region.

  • Speaking Welsh would be advantageous and would support the maintaining and developing of bilingual educational resources. This is desirable but not essential.
    To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A recognised teaching qualification with QTS
  • A valid DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Experience of Teaching in the UK
  • A good knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
