Optometrist

I am currently working with a well-established, high end, family-run independent who are now looking for an Optometrist to join their close-knit team. This practice is well known for its reputation and boast excellent customer service and are located in a quaint town outside the Reading area.

Very high end, modern practice with all the latest equipment, 3 clinic practice with a team around of around 4 strong all experienced, work well together and support each other daily. They have a stylish range of frames and products with well-known brands that cater to both mid and high end.

My client is looking to offer a competitive package of up to £65,000 per annum, sociable hours as well the opportunity to work in a relaxed high end and modern independent. This is open to a 4 or 5-day role which would include Saturdays but no Sundays or Bank Holidays. (They will look at alternate weekends)

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

- You will be responsible for dealing with each and every patient to the best of your ability
- Complete full eye test including Optomap and OCT within 40 min appointments.
- You will be able to provide excellent customer service and speak with your patients in a friendly, confident, yet professional manner.
- Be a key part of the team and work with the company and its owners to drive business.
- As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be open to coming onto the shop floor occasionally to answer questions and get involved with the patient journey as well.
- Although the patient focus is a big part of the role my client is also looking for someone hands-on and commercially aware.

Requirements of the Optometrist

- You must be GOC registered (open to experience)
- Be able to provide excellent customer service
- Have a positive and warm attitude along with a passion for optics
- Be driven and want to develop and expand your knowledge
- Working hours are 9:00-17:30 on weekdays and 9:00-16:30 on Saturdays (No Sundays or Bank holidays)

Compensation for the Optometrist

- Competitive basic salary - up to £65,000 DOE
- All private- NO NHS
- Sociable hours
- Free Parking- on street car parking
- Optomap, OCT and MYAH.
- Supported by 2 experienced Dispensing Opticians
- 50 -min test time
- Seeing on average 7-10 patients per day
- Support and funding onto advanced courses
