We are currently working with a high-end independent Opticians in Hastings, who have a fantastic opportunity to employ a new full or part time Optometrist.

This family run independent company own a small number of practices in the Sussex area and have over 70 years of experience in providing high-quality, professional healthcare services to the community.

As a truly independent opticians, at the heart of their service lies a thorough and unhurried eye examination, where they are committed to offering patients only what is best for their eyes and vision without commercial pressure.

Key Advantages

  • Basic salary of up to £70,000 + professional fees & pension
  • Flexible 40 - 50 minute testing times, depending on patient needs and requirements
  • Offering the latest diagnostic equipment and the latest technological advances in contact lenses
  • Equipment includes OCT, Optomap, Auto-refractor, Auto-phoropter, Trial frame sets, Contact & Non-contact tonometry, Slit Lamp, Thompson test chart alongside a very efficient computerised management system
  • They support patients offering a variety of specialisms including Myopia management, Colorimetry and visual stress, Dry Eye clinics, Glaucoma and Diabetic screening and specialist contact lenses
  • The practice is stylish and has recently completed a new refurb, they have 2 spacious test rooms and an extremely low staff turnover
  • Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays with no late nights as the practice closes at 5:30pm
  • The company are happy to fund any further specialist courses to support clinical development and arrange regular internal and external CET and training

Details and requirements

  • Hours: Monday - Saturday (09:00am - 17:30pm)
  • Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays
  • Can offer a lot of flexibility with weekend requirements
  • Full or part time, 3 days a week
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

  • Basic salary of up to £70,000
  • Pension + professional fee
  • 25 days holiday + 8 BH (33 in total)
