Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart your career in a busy office environment?

NCE Switchgear are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come in and join their successful and growing team as an Operations Support Apprentice. NCE Switchgear have had a number of people successfully join and complete their modern apprenticeship in a range of different disciplines, and they are looking for their next apprentice to follow in the same steps. You will complete an SCQF level 6 in Digital Applications Support as part of the apprenticeship and full training will be given.

What will I be doing?

  • Become a super user on systems such as Sage HR and Sage 50
  • Collating hours for payroll and uploading to Sage 50
  • Inputting holidays and absences into Sage HR system
  • Acting as first point of contact for all calls coming in from clients, handling enquiries, triaging and directing to relevant departments
  • Running reports from various systems and inputting details to Excel
  • Wide use of Microsoft Office Package to complete daily tasks
  • Assisting with audit checks, stock reports and sales invoicing
  • Organising meetings and managing calendars for meeting rooms as required on Outlook

What do I need to be successful?

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually when required
  • Professional approach towards all aspects of work
  • Good time management, planning and organisational skills

Salary:

£15,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday, 7am - 5pm

Benefits:

  • 4 day working week, Monday - Thursday
  • Salary review upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
