Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 pro rata (DOE)
Hours: 37.5hours per week, Monday - Friday 08.30am -16.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only, (There may be scope for this role to bea full-time contract (52 weeks) if this is your preference, pleaseget in touch to discuss.)
About the role

We are looking for anenthusiastic newly qualified Occupational Therapist to join ourexpanding team. In the role you would be required tocomplete a preceptorship year under the supervision of a senioroccupational therapist before working more independently followingcompetencies being signed off. As a registered practitioner youwill be expected to implement a holistic, therapeutic and dynamicapproach to helping our pupils in their daily lives withsupervision, whilst being personally responsible for yourprofessional practice and maintenance of CPD. As part of themulti-disciplinary team, you will assess and treat individualswithin the service, delivering meaningful activity within anindividual and group environment. You will be required to doscreening and assessments as required, with report writing beingsupported by your supervisor initially. In addition, you willprovide information and training to staff, commissionersand other agencies as required.
You wouldbe working within our supportive multi-disciplinary therapy team tohelp create an environment where our pupils can flourish, learn anddevelop. The team includes Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy,Occupational Therapy and therapy assistants. Someone with arounded and integrated approach to care, education and clinicalservices would be perfect for this role.

Essential Criteria:
Occupational Therapy BSc(Hons).
Registered with theHCPC and RCOT registered.
Ability to work under pressure and todeadlines.
Clinicalproblem-solving ability.
Ability to assess young people's needs andformulate a treatment plan, from a range of OTmodalities.
Ability tocommunicate effectively to all including families, carers, LocalAuthorities and wider communities.
Ability to keep legible and accurate records inaccordance with HCPC & RCOT.
Ability to be autonomous including whenorganising, delegating and prioritising.
Good team player in allareas.
Ability to motivateself and others.
