Job Description

Job Title: Systems Training Officer

Location: South London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Role Overview:

A dynamic local authority in South London is seeking a dedicated Systems Training Officer to support staff in effectively using key business applications. In this role, you will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, helping teams enhance their understanding and utilization of various digital systems. You will also be responsible for creating online and in-person training resources, ensuring compliance with data standards, and driving improved system usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver tailored training sessions, including classroom-based and one-on-one coaching, to support staff in using business applications effectively.
  • Training Materials Development: Create training resources, including videos and online materials, to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Systems Use & Compliance: Ensure teams follow established data policies and procedures, promoting best practices and compliance.
  • Process Mapping & Improvement: Assist services in mapping and refining workflows to enhance efficiency and system integration across departments.
  • Reporting & Monitoring: Regularly report on training progress, identifying areas for improvement and recommending further sessions as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with service managers, users, and stakeholders to ensure they understand system processes and statutory data collection requirements.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in delivering IT systems training, ideally within a public sector environment.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training resources and programs, both online and in-person.
  • Strong knowledge of data management and compliance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
