JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Mobile Engineer
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Department: Engineering
Location: Central UK
ATP are hiring qualified electrical/mechanical plant engineers to maintain our powered access fleet. You will be a good all-round engineer experienced in DC electrical power & control systems, hydraulics and mechanical engineering. Our ideal engineer is CAP qualified or can demonstrate alternative qualifications that allow them to carry out six monthly LOLER engineering inspections
The role is mobile & a van provided
JOB PURPOSE
Meets the expanding engineering requirements of the company covering increased locations and fleet numbers Meets the needs of LOLER & PUWER legislation, ensuring continued compliance and certification.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for maintenance, repair, service and response to breakdown of ATP's rental fleet of MEWPS (on or off site).Fully responsive mobile engineering response
Work with customers to provide high standards of engineering support for the organisation's rental fleet while on hire.
Competent to perform 6-month thorough engineering inspections (LOLER - not essential to start .
PDI and inspections maintaining standards and procedures carried out by the organisation.
Manage costs, seeking to reduce where possible, manage efficiencies and ensure profitability
Ensure re-charge of repairs and other chargeable costs to the customer where applicable, in line with ATP's policies and objectives.
Represent ATP as a brand ambassador at all times.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE CAP qualified (not essential to start)
LOLER qualified (not essential to start)
Proven track record of ability to repair any fault across all aspects of M&E engineering issues in the powered access industry
Ability to work with minimal supervision, operating autonomously as a key member of ATP's engineering team
Good MS office and good computer literacy skills
Good with paperwork and accurate documentation
Possess a clean driving license
DECISION MAKING
Reasonable degree of autonomy within boundaries set by strategy
