What We Offer:

Full Time 37.5 hours per week, work pattern to be confirmed, a mixture of AM and PM shifts Working every other weekend.

Salary: £24,891.00 per annum increasing to £25,691.00 after completion of 6-month probation.

Location: Short Stay Recovery House, Barroway Drove - West Norfolk

Training

Mandatory training for this role takes place in Norwich, training sessions run from 9am - 5pm and run over 4 separate dates.

The Service

We are recruited into a new Short Stay Recovery House, this is a 24-hour service for people who have experienced, or are experiencing a mental health crisis but do not require a hospital admission.

You will provide support to the people to provide an effective range of short-term intensive interventions to reduce the experience of crisis.

The Role

Providing one to one emotional support to those in need of support and in crisis. As a valued Recovery Worker, you will empower and promote independence. You will be motivated and have experience of working in a similar field with people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Among Other Responsibilities You Will
Support individuals in crisis (presenting in a range of ways, including low mood, depressed, anxious, mania, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts) to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to navigate the crisis situation.
Identify and respond to individuals who become a risk to themselves or others within this time period by working closely with the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service. (CRHT)
Liaise with the Service Manager when taking new referrals and be part of a full risk handover when accepting new people to the house.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in a similar field

Experience of working with people with complex needs who may be difficult to engage

Empowering People and promoting independence

Working with multi-displinary teams

An understanding of mental health crisis

Desirable - NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR Counselling qualification or similar
