Mechanical Contracts Manager - NI Projects (No GB Travel) - Established Contractor - Belfast

Your new company
Hays have been retained by an established mechanical contractor who is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee local projects. Established over 20 years, this contractor is a leading specialist in Mechanical Services who undertakes a range of commercial and large-scale residential projects throughout Northern Ireland.
Your new role
As the Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will ensure that each contract is run efficiently and profitably, in line with client expectations. This will involve the day-to-day management of projects, including planning and programming works, conducting site meetings, procurement of labour and materials, and project handover.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working on their own initiative, have excellent communications skills and work well as part of a team.

  • 3rd level qualification in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Trades background
  • Strong technical ability, with a minimum of 2 years' experience managing mechanical building services projects
  • Ability to lead teams and organise projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines/targets
  • Proven track record of managing mechanical projects from initial stages through to handover
  • Good Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
