About the role
The Marketing Planning team within Research Marketing exists to deliver effective and efficient tactical marketing programs and value in submissions and revenue. The focus is on programmes that are customer-centric. Moreover, it seeks to increase conversions, leverage the right channel mix that brings best ROI, and support and strengthen brand and product values.
Reporting to the Head of Institutional B2B, this role sits in the Marketing Planning Institutional B2B team within Marketing Planning.
Key relationships include Strategic Marketing Leads, Marketing Operations, Corporate Sales, Product Managers / Specialists, as well as other teams within Marketing Planning.
The role's main goal is to collaborate within the B2B team primarily on Corporate and New Business campaigns and activities with the main goal of driving new business growth. This role's holder will work in connection with the B2B Institutional team alongside the Corporate Sales Teams, Product Managers and Specialized Sales teams.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage effective channel mix and tactics always with an eye to automate and/or drive efficiency
- Prioritization and coordination of marketing plan to drive lead generation and renewal retention for journals
- Collaborate with other teams in Planning to streamline processes and create one overall marketing calendar
- Definition of measurements and benchmarks for campaigns & programs and evaluation of performance
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years marketing experience preferably in the STM sector.
- Candidate should possess strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to partner with different levels and units throughout the organization.
- Proactive style with strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility and openness to innovative ideas.
- Comfortable to work to deadlines and within budget.
- Strong competence in project management
- Excellent digital marketing and customer engagement skill set
- Ability to adapt as needed in response to continuous monitoring of program performance and a changing environment
- Ability to work well in a matrix and cross-functional team structure
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and high focus on performance and ROI
- Demonstrated ability to work in global environment
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities
- Positive attitude towards and actively driving change
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a closely related field or equivalent professional experience.
