Management Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant with an independent school based in London, on a full-time, 12-month FTC basis. As Management Accountant you will play a key part in supporting the Interim Finance Manager in maintaining the school s financial health through accurate data analysis, preparation of annual accounts, budgets, payroll administration, billing and treasury functions.

Please note, this role is fully office based.

As Management Accountant, you will:

- Assist the Finance Manager in preparing annual accounts, budgets, monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns

- Analyse and interpret financial data for budget holders and other team members

- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data by regularly reviewing inputs from the Purchase Ledger Controller and the bookstore

- Support the Payroll Controller with compiling monthly payroll and maintaining accurate records

- Support Fees Controller with invoicing, including data verification, parent/staff communications and aged debtor ledger oversight

The successful applicant will:

- Have demonstrable experience in finance at an independent school, in a similar role

- Be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

- Be proficient with technology. Specific experience with MS applications such as Excel and Power BI are a plus

- Have experience in using financial/accounting systems

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
