We are currently working with an innovative, sustainable alternative fuel provider based on the port of Middlesbrough. By manufacturing high-quality alternative fuels from non-recyclable materials, they turn waste into a valuable resource, driving sustainable industrial practices and a cleaner future for all. Due to a period of significant growth, they have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the business.
Purpose of RoleAs a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the full maintenance of site and analysis of downtime, availability and efficiency data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Your role will involve the efficient running of maintenance systems, providing breakdown support when required, supporting the maintenance team and meeting production targets while maintaining a strong health and safety culture through our established safety systems.
Please note this role will involve out-of-hours support.
General Responsibilities
Plan outage programmes for the maintenance team and ensure all required parts are in place.Take a hands-on approach and assist with maintenance tasks when required, providing technical expertise and guidance to all teams.Prioritise then delegate tasks to your team through the preventative maintenance (PM) and T-Card system which covers all aspects of the site.Liaise and plan work with contractors, ensuring all work is carried out to WKE standards.Offer troubleshooting support during emergencies or breakdowns.Assist the Engineering Manager in supporting engineering projects.Maintain documentation and records for compliance audits and inspections.Identify skills gaps in your team and work with the Engineering & HR Managers to rectify these gaps.Manage external maintenance service providers and service plans.Issue permit to work and isolation procedures to both site staff and external service providers.Maintain fixed plant and mobile plant machinery.Manage monthly stock levels and understand site inventory requirements.Deputise for the Engineering Manager when required.Person SpecificationEssential
