Maintenance Plumber

Hays are looking for a Maintenance Plumber to join a Facilities Management contractor based in Edinburgh.

Your new company
Hays are looking for a plumber to work with one of our national clients, based in Edinburgh. This role is crucial in ensuring multiple buildings' mechanical systems are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for customers, staff, and visitors.
Your new role
You will be joining the on-site trade team working within multiple hotel & retail facilities across Edinburgh on behalf of a national FM contractor - please see a brief list of duties below:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the hotels plumbing systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any structural issues or potential hazards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance requests.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified plumber with an up-to-date SJIB card and have a background working within large commercial buildings.

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in building maintenance or engineering are desirable.
