Maintenance Engineer job working in Portadown on Monday to Friday day shift within FMCG. Our client is a top food product producer to both retail and bulk processing companies. From their modern plant in Portadown, Co Armagh they process and pack for an impressive client list across UK and Ireland. Continued investment requires the addition of an mechanically biased maintenance engineer to the small team to balance the engineering skills and deliver further equipment improvement
Your new role
Working days Monday to Friday you are part of a small team supporting production. As well as the daily maintenance you work closely with the project leader on machine installation, line improvement, process improvements to reduce waste or increase output. Its a modern factory so would require an understanding of a more modern occasionally automated electrical control system. The work is diverse and the team work well together as a unit to support one another and assist when possible.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be electrically biased but prepared to do multi skilled work and support the team as required. Knowledge of modern production process equipment would be essential because as well as the day to day maintenance there are projects lined up for you to assist with once settled in
What you'll get in return
Salary wise you can expect circa £40,000-£44,000 before overtime dependent on experience. A pleasant and clean working environment in this modern factory, some autonomy to identify and act on improvements, a highly coveted day shift role Monday to Friday and a role that will give exposure to new project work to strengthen your skills.
