Position: Stockroom employee 0-38 hours

Reports to: Store Manager

Summary of the position:

As a Stockroom Employee, you will contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, and help to manage the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner. The Stockroom Employee will ensure that products are easily accessible, visually appealing, constantly available, properly distributed, and safely packaged.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the sales process by maintaining a fully stocked store and assist on the shop floor

    when needed.

  • Organizing the stockroom.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.

Profile:

  • 0-1 years of experience in a similar position or a degree in fashion/retail management.
  • Affinity with fashion and brand.
  • Fluent in English.

Store operations: Customer service/Sales:

  • Delivers sales goals according to the company standards and strategic plan. Operational tasks:
  • Checking if deliveries are complete and intact.
  • Checking goods receipt records, if necessary.
  • Securing the merchandise.
  • Storing merchandise in the stockroom.
  • Processing internal transfer instructions.
  • Shipping old merchandise when season changes.
  • Refiling the sold merchandise.
  • Inventory preparation and support.

  • Professionalism and outgoing personality.
  • Communicate in a helpful and clear way with customers and co-workers.
  • Communicate effectively with Store Manager, Associates and Area Manager.

Additional Requirements:

  • Required to stand during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, using stairs, reaching, pulling and lifting weights of usually 2 - 14 kilos.
  • Working rapidly, especially during peak sales periods to ensure that all customers are being serviced properly and store operations are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and other associates, in person or by phone or email.
  • Ability to read, write, conduct business related information and analyze data as required.
