Your New Role
As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering engineering services projects within existing buildings. Your role will include preparing technical performance specifications, compiling tender documentation, conducting tender evaluations, and managing project finances. You will also provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring long-term sustainability, energy efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Key tasks include:
- Producing high-quality reports and presenting findings to clients.
- Preparing performance technical specifications, drawings, and schedules.
- Evaluating tender submissions and preparing tender reports.
- Managing project finances and ensuring projects are completed within budget and timescale.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BSc) or equivalent.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (CIBSE/IMechE) and ideally Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary projects team.
