Linux System Administrator/Ansible - Linux SA - BAU & Project. Patching, Virtualization, Storage, Backups, Ansible, GitHub, Powershell, VMware, vsphere

Strong background in Linux System Administration with focus on Infrastructure, automation, DevOps, and a broad range of related technologies.

Linux BAU/Project work 50/50 split. Day to day BAU will involve Core Linux Admin & Patching. Ansible skills fopcus for Automation Project work.

Job Description - Key Responsibilities:

• Automate infrastructure management (Virtualization, Linux, Storage, Backups) using Ansible and GitHub.
• Manage support, escalations, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with external providers and internal teams for successful outcomes.
• Develop and implement administration standards and procedures.
• Advocate for automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Skills Required:

• Expert in Red Hat Linux administration.
• Proficient with DevOps tools: Ansible, Git, GitHub.
• Skilled in Scripting languages such as PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of VMware vSphere administration.
• Knowledge of storage technologies (eg, PureStorage).
• Understanding of network technologies (Firewalls, switching, routing, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN).

Ideal Experience:

• Experience with Terraform.
• Familiarity with hybrid environments, especially Azure.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of Windows server technology (Windows 2019/2022).
• Understanding of emerging Microsoft technologies.
• Disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Exposure to ITIL practices.
