We are looking for an enthusiastic Linguistics Graduate to join a primary school in Clapham, Wandsworth as a SEN Academic Mentor, working specifically with students who have speech and language difficulties.
Linguistics Graduate The Role:
- Up to £500 per week (inclusive of Holiday Pay) Paid via PAYE on a weekly basis
- Immediate start, contracted until the end of the academic year
- Work closely with children who have speech and language difficulties, providing tailored support to enhance their communication skills
- Lead small group sessions and one-on-one support to help children develop their speech, language, and literacy skills
- Collaborate with the SENCO and Primary Teaching Team to create and implement effective learning strategies
Linguistics Graduate What You Need:
- A First-Class Linguistics Degree (or related field) from a top UK university
- 1+ years working with children with SEN
- A strong understanding of language development and communication strategies
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children overcome learning barriers
- Confidence in delivering targeted support to students with varying needs
