Job Description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a national charity to recruit for a Legacy and in Memory Manager in order to create and deliver strategies to maximise gifts in wills and in memory giving, ensuring sustainable income for the charity while providing exceptional supporter care. As part of this role, you will manage legacy administration, drive the growth of the charity's Free Wills programme, and develop meaningful ways to engage legacy and in memory supporters.

As a Legacy and in Memory Manager you will:

  • Develop and implement a legacy giving plan to grow future income streams.
  • Oversee legacy gift administration, ensuring efficient processing and compliance.
  • Lead a team, providing support and guidance to the Legacy Executive and Administrator.
  • Expand the charity's Free Wills programme and promote in memory fundraising.
  • Develop innovative marketing campaigns to raise awareness of legacy and in memory giving.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funeral directors and law firms.
  • Ensure exceptional stewardship of legacy and in memory supporters through personalised engagement.

To be successful, you must have experience:

  • Proven experience in legacy and/or in memory fundraising.
  • Experience in a supporter/customer-facing role, ideally in the charity sector.
  • Strong understanding of legacy administration, probate law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Empathy and sensitivity when working with bereaved families and supporters.
  • Passion for the mission and values of the charity.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum

Contract type: Full-time, 18 FTC, could go permanent

Location- Midlands, 3 days in the office
