Job Description

De Montfort University (DMU) is a vibrant, ambitious and inclusive learning institution. We have recently been awarded the 'Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence' from Advance HE for the work around Decolonising DMU and are the first university to receive the silver award in the Race Equality Charter (REC).

Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at DMU educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to people's lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. It is home to the Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences in which this post will be based.

Role

You would work as part of a team, primarily delivering high quality teaching and training. You would be mainly focusing on teaching and training in clinical audiology across our programmes, focusing on an area of specialism which is either diagnostic (ERA), vestibular science or paediatric audiology. The role will involve design and development of the curriculum to meet with changes in our profession and the advances in learning.

The role will allow for collaboration, enterprise and some research development. The Audiology section of the school is one of the largest in the country and boosts excellent facilities and the latest teaching and clinical equipment.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidate should be experienced in one of the areas of specialism and be enthusiastic about the subject. They should also have an all-round grounding in Audiology. Although a postgraduate qualification in Audiology would be beneficial, we are interested to hear from candidates with significant clinical experience. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and training and are creative and willing to develop.
