About our school:
King Solomon Academy is a genuine all-through school, with our pupils staying with us from nursery to sixth form across two sites, ten minutes-walk apart. Because of this, we have a unique opportunity to have a long term and dramatic impact on our pupils' lives. Our mission is to provide a rigorous and transformational education, which starts in ensuring our pupils develop the vital building blocks for future success in communication and language as well as in reading, writing and maths in the primary phase. This means that in the secondary phase, we can focus on rapidly progressing towards achieving academic excellence for each and every pupil. In nine out of ten of the last ten years, KSA has achieved a progress 8 score of +1 or higher, meaning the vast majority of our pupils can go on to the sixth form pathways of their choice post-16. We have a thriving Sixth Form - mainly made up of academic A levels, alongside one BTEC course in Business Studies - which has been ALPS 1 for the last three years. With a huge focus on destinations throughout the whole school, this focus sharpens in Sixth Form. In Autumn 2024, 86% of last year's Year 13 are going to selective universities or degree level apprenticeships.
