About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Content Designer to join our dynamic team. • Have highly demonstrable experience in communicating effectively.

  • Have highly demonstrable experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Have highly demonstrable evidence in content design for digital and non-digital platforms in services or products.

This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in an agile environment and can drive the design process from research to execution.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and collaborating with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary team to improve the user experience and outcomes for users.

  • Engaging and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • Driving a user-centred design approach to consistently meet user needs.

  • Utilising both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.

  • Participating in user research and designing content for humans.

  • Working with and producing prototypes to learn/validate user needs.

  • Ensuring design solutions are accessible and inclusive.

Skills needed for this role:

  • Communicating information: Listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders, interpret between them, manage stakeholders' expectations and facilitate difficult discussions within the team or with senior stakeholders.

  • Digital perspective: Apply a digital understanding to your work and identify and implement solutions for assisted digital.

  • Evidence and context-based design: Design systems for use across multiple services and identify the simplest approach out of a variety of approaches (Occam's razor).

  • Leadership and guidance: Make decisions characterised by medium levels of risk and complexity, recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase, build consensus, rectify team dynamic issues, engage in appropriate feedback and facilitate the best team makeup depending on the situation.

  • Prototyping: Use a variety of prototyping methods, share best practices, coach others and look at strategic service design end-to-end.

  • Prototyping in code: Create and validate dynamic prototypes.

  • Understanding constraints: Identify and understand constraints, communicate and work within them, challenge the validity of constraints and ensure standards are being met.

  • User focus: Provide direction on tools or methods to use, meet user needs across various channels, bring insight into how user needs have changed over time and apply strategic thinking to provide the best service for the end user.
