Hays Education is working with a rural school near Loughborough to find a KS1 Teacher to join their Year 2 class for the remainder of the academic year. The school are looking for a teacher with excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, experience teaching phonics and is confident working with SEND pupils. Your new roleIn your new job as a Teacher with Hays, you will work on a long-term basis as a Year 2 Class Teacher, including planning and marking with the support of a Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with the TA to plan differentiated activities for SEND pupils and provide feedback to parents on pupil progress. You will also benefit from the support of your dedicated Recruitment Consultant, Hollie, who will be on-hand throughout your placement and beyond.
What you need to succeedTo be successful in your new job, you will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience working with Key Stage 1 pupils. This role is suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with strong experience in Key Stage 1. You'll need to have excellent behaviour management skills and be prepared to support SEND within a mainstream environment. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school ready to build relationships quickly!
