The PositionThe Junior Project Manager Supply Chain is somebody who has an affiliation with supply chain & process improvements, who gets things done, is eager to learn and pro-active. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Global Planning within the Global Supply Chain team of the MSD division. You will be part of a strong passionate team with the target to drive scalability of our Supply Chain processes to enable growth.
How you will make an impactThe Junior Project Manager will be responsible for various improvement projects within Supply Chain. Projects will vary in scope and direction, working closely together with Business Process Experts (Materials Management, Planning and Order Fulfillment), the S&OP Manager, different local Supply Chain teams, Procurement, IT Finance and Service globally. You will support the company's mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You will be expected to lead projects or workstreams, create project plans, lead teams, analyse data and processes, create new tools, implement new processes and drive change in the organisation.
What you will doThrough various projects, you will be trained in project management and change management, if needed supported by in-company training and courses. Projects origin from the Global Planning, Inventory and Order Fulfillment teams and will be assigned based on priority and scope. You will develop your project manager skills on-the-job and get a good understanding of the various processes. Projects might include conducting value stream mappings of processes, creating dashboards or leading an improvement project. You might be part of a local or global project, leading a workstream in a larger project or you might need to analyze a specific process with colleagues at our various global sites. You are expected to report out to leadership when needed and to follow Thermo Fisher's way of working with regards to project management, change management and process improvements.
How you will get hereEducation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management
- Preferably Project and Change Management trained and/or certified
- Experience (2-4 years) in the field of supply chain, preferably in a high mix/low volume environment
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability in leading successful improvements/projects in Supply Chain
- Experience in change management (e.g. Prosci)
- Proven experience with PowerBI
- Teammate, but also independent
- Able to work with multiple levels of a global matrix organization
- Hands-on mentality: loves problem solving, gets results and strives to get things done in an analytical, detailed and practical way
- ERP knowledge (QAD is a plus)
- Outstanding English language
- Drive to learn, curious, creative, inventive, pro-active, flexible
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic, able to empower and influence people to drive real change
- Ambitious
The role might require global travel, estimated at 10-15% depending on the projects
