Job Description
Job Title: Junior IT Support Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Gloucester (4 days a week onsite)
Our client is looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer to help keep their business running smoothly by providing first-line support across their IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking.
- Manage hardware provisioning and maintain IT equipment.
- Create and update user documentation.
- Travel to various sites when required (pool vehicle provided).
- Escalate issues to third-party providers when necessary.
Essential Skills:
- Eager to learn and develop new IT skills.
- Organised, motivated, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Patient and approachable when working with users of varying technical abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with help desk applications.
- Knowledge of M365 administration, Windows & Mobile OS troubleshooting.
- Basic networking and cloud services knowledge.
- IT certifications (eg, CompTIA A+).
