This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

Role Overview
Our client are looking for a skilled Junior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Data Ingestion team as they lead a comprehensive data migration initiative, transitioning data from on-premise sources to a new cloud-based Data Lake.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an active member of a multi-disciplinary, squad-like team.
• Automate data governance and ingestion processes for migrating data to the cloud-based Data Lake.
• Conduct and automate end-to-end tests to verify data migration results in both Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments.
• Create reports in Snowflake DWH to track and visualize the progress of data migration tasks.
• Develop user knowledge bases and guidebooks for building and managing reports and dashboards in the cloud.
• Monitor and ensure that SLIs, SLOs, and KPIs are met, and take corrective action when needed.
• Collaborate with the Customer Data Support team to enhance the reusability and discoverability of key metrics.
• Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to address and resolve issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Proven track record of driving technical and business initiatives that enhance productivity, performance, and quality.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a can-do mindset.
• Minimum of 2 years of software development experience, with expertise in one or more Server Side programming languages, such as Python or Java.
• Experience working with relational databases, such as MySQL.
• Previous experience developing solutions on public cloud platforms like AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud-based Data Warehouse-as-a-Service solutions (eg, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience working on projects with diverse stakeholders is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
