Medior/Senior Java Software Engineer

We're PU Customer Onboarding C Delivery. We develop digital map solutions for navigation and autonomous driving applications. In our team, you'll strive to find the best ways to compile, publish and/or stream terabytes of map content for critical cloud services, advanced autonomous vehicles and large innovative tech companies around the world.

You'll help people find their way in the world. In 2004, we revolutionized how the world moves with the introduction of the first portable navigation device. Now, we intend to do it again by engineering the first-ever Real Time map, the smartest and most useful map on the planet.

Work with a team of 3,700 unique, curious and passionate problem-solvers. Together, we'll open up a world of possibilities for car manufacturers, enterprises and developers to help people understand and get closer to the world around them.

As part of our product development team, you will work on solving the challenges related to map delivery for autonomous vehicles. These challenges include map compilation, transformation, and packaging in a safety critical context. Leveraging your software development skills with challenging algorithmic, and mathematical problems, to ensure timely delivery of optimized map data to vehicles worldwide. With your experience, you'll help to move the team forward in developing the technology of the future of mobility.

• Design, implement, and maintain map compilers in a distributed, cloud-first
• Understand and contribute to software architecture, including the operational aspects;
• Review another developer's code according to the team's standards;
• Understand and contribute to requirements;
• Contribute to software development capability improvement;
• Have a security mindset and implement best practices on a daily basis;
• Help achieve our product SLA's and solve impediments;
• Broaden own understanding of programming, development practices, and business context;

• 5+ years of equivalent experience in at least one modern programming language, including Java
• Experience with Java/Maven/Spring;
• Proven ability to learn new languages and technologies, and lead others in acquiring new skills
• Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object- oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
• Devops mindset and experience with tooling
• Mindset for development of high-quality software

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines;
• A passion for problem solving
• Experience in distributed/microservices architectures
• Experience with cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure
