IT Volunteer (share basic smartphone, computer & internet skills)
Posted 2 days 9 hours ago by UNION CHAPEL PROJECT
Can you spare a couple of hours on a Monday afternoon? We are looking for volunteers to help out at our weekly drop-in, supporting those who want to learn or improve their IT skills.
Street Digital is a new project for the Union Chapel Margins community - many of them cut off from the rapidly changing digital world. We are helping them to learn critical digital skills - and using those skills to progress their aspirations for a better future life.
We're not looking for experts but if you know your way around a Smartphone or have basic computer skills such as sending emails, writing letters, browsing the internet, we would love to hear from you. It doesn't have to be every week but whatever you can commit to would be greatly appreciated.
Please apply by emailing to let us know what you're able to offer and your availability. Please note this role requires onsite attendance at Union Chapel in Islington, London. There is no remote option available.
Union Chapel's frontline charity, The Margins Project, offers services supporting people facing homelessness, pertinent social justice issues, and other critical living crisis. These services are designed to improve the immediate, interim, and long-term living conditions and wellbeing of their guests.
