IT Infrastructure Specialist

They provide award-winning personal, commercial and specialty insurance products and services direct-to-customers, via brokers and affinity partners.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for two IT Infrastructure Specialists for a 6 month contract with potential for extension based in either the Horsham or London office (remote first- occasional travel to office when required).

Purpose of the Role:

The IT Infrastructure Specialist role involves a mix of responsibilities, including handling service desk requests, management directives, project work, and business-as-usual (BAU) tasks.

Responsibilities of the role:

As an IT Infrastructure Specialist you will be responsible for:

• Managing and resolving service desk tickets, addressing incidents and issues promptly.
• Collaborating with architects, service management and security teams.
• Handling both project work and BAU tasks.
• Implementing and managing conditional access policies.
• Maintaining knowledge of identity management, end-user tools, and Back End tools (Exchange, Teams).
• Using MS security tools, W365, VMware, and cloud Proxy solutions (zScaler).
• Designing, implementing and documenting IT solutions.
• Liaising with 3rd party teams and ensure platform integrity.
• Supporting integrations between M365 and on-premise infrastructure, including for example, MFA, single sign-on, and app registrations.

What is required from the IT Infrastructure Specialist:

• Proven experience in IT architecture and senior 3rd line support, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (on-premises and cloud).
• Expertise in Exchange Online, Office 365 management, and familiarity with infrastructure, authentication, cloud, and Active Directory (AD).
• Proficiency with MS security tools, W365, VMware, cloud Proxy solutions (zScaler), and experience with Intune packaging and imaging.
• Ability to handle project work and BAU tasks efficiently.
• Experience with conditional access policies, identity management, end-user tools, and Back End tools (Exchange, Teams).
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with service desk personnel, architects, and management across various departments.

Desirable criteria includes:

• Experience with single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerShell Scripting.
• Familiarity with VMware technology.
