Job Description

Are you passionate about driving quality assurance and operational excellence? City & Guilds is seeking an experienced ISO Manager to play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS). This role is instrumental in ensuring our awarding organisation achieves and maintains ISO 9001 accreditation, supporting our strategic objectives and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

You will be working on a hybrid basis with a mix of home and office. We're flexible about where you might be based to undertake this role, but you'll need to be able to travel into our London office as well as ad hoc travel to other locations as required.

About the role

  • Manage and maintain the QMS, ensuring policies and processes support ISO 9001 accreditation.
  • Prepare the organisation for ISO accreditation, including gap analyses, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead internal audits, managing an audit team and ensuring actions are completed effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, provide training, and support process improvements.
  • Report on QMS performance, audit outcomes, and risks, ensuring leadership is informed and aligned.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ISO 9001 compliance, using data to drive improvements.
  • Act as the primary contact for queries and complaints relating to QMS and ISO accreditation.

About you

  • Experience managing quality improvement initiatives and ISO accreditation, ideally in education or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of QMS principles and experience managing internal audit processes.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, write reports, and manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Whilst not mandatory, it would be beneficial if you have knowledge of quality assurance in vocational education and regulatory standards.
