Job Description

What you will be doing You will support the finance team by managing the organisation's cash flow, banking, and financial transactions. You will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the treasury function, and providing accurate financial reporting. You will also ensure that all cashbook, budgeting and year end accounting procedures are complied with including the operation of financial policies and controls, Financial Regulations and Standing Orders. Cash Management: Ensure the organisation's income and expenditure is correctly accounted for in line with legislative requirements and policies and procedures. Support the preparation of cash flow statements and forecasts. To assist with income return reconciliations as needed. To monitor the income suspense account and oversee the reconciliation of this account. Banking Operations: Reconcile bank accounts daily to ensure the accuracy of records. Manage relationships with banks, ensuring that all banking activities, including deposits and withdrawals, are processed smoothly.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare treasury-related reports. Ad-Hoc Duties: Provide support to the treasury and finance teams in various projects and financial analysis and control.What in it for you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and experience of general ledger reconciliations.
  • AAT or equivalent professional qualification
  • Previous experience in general book-keeping and General Ledger reconciliations are essential.
  • The ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
