Interim Head of Finance

Interim Head of Finance job with Cardiff-based Public Sector organisation

Interim Head of Finance job for an initial 4-month contract. This role is inside scope of IR35, paying £400 a day. The key responsibilities include:
Working closely alongside the Financial Services Manager to:

Deliver regular financial reporting, including to the ARAC.

Prepare the budget for 2025-26.

Embed the newly introduced planning software, Sage Intacct.

Update the finance manual and develop comprehensive desk notes.

Working with the Procurement team to:

Implement new procurement legislation.

Deliver a programme of procurement.

Explore opportunities for streamlining procurement, potentially by sourcing an appropriate software package.
