Job Description

Integration Developer - IBM IIB/ACE (Contract)
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Rate: £415 per day (via umbrella company)
Contract: 6 months initially, with strong potential for extension

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Integration Developer with strong IBM IIB/ACE expertise to join its interface development team on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the London office, and offers an initial 6-month contract with high potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support internal and external application interfaces using IBM Integration Bus (IIB/ACE).

  • Build and maintain message flows, message models (DFDL, XML, MRM, TDS), and Middleware processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to interface processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe and North America to support operational integrations.

  • Document new and existing interface solutions and assist with code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with IBM Integration Bus (v9 or higher - preferably ACE 12) and IBM MQ.

  • Skilled in Korn Shell Scripting, PERL, Java, SQL, ESQL, Ant.

  • Familiarity with UNIX (AIX), Linux, and Windows environments.

  • Experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, stored procedures.

  • Proven ability to develop using Compute, SOAP, HTTP, Java Compute, File, and Database nodes.

Desirable:

  • Financial services or banking experience.

  • Familiarity with SWIFT, NACHA, EDI, SEPA message formats.

  • Exposure to API Connect, Azure API Management, Apache Kafka.

  • Use of testing tools such as SOAP-UI, RFHUtil, MBTestClient.

  • Experience with project tools like MS Project, Visio, TOAD, Perforce.

Additional Info:

  • Role is via umbrella company.

  • Some weekend or out-of-hours work may be required to support production deployments.
