Location: UK (Remote)

Salary: £60,000 (DOE)

Job Purpose

The Infrastructure Team Lead is a key role responsible for overseeing third-line service desk support and leading project delivery initiatives. As the project technical lead, this role involves direct customer interaction and close collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the seamless execution of projects. With a focus on modern workplace solutions and Azure workloads, the Manager will drive IT process automation, enhancing scalability and responsiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

  • Team Development: Assess, develop, and motivate a high-performing third-line team.
  • Performance Evaluation: Review and develop KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the effective and efficient operation of the third-line team, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Escalation Optimization: Streamline escalation procedures and manage third-line resourcing to handle issues promptly.

Technical Support & Service Desk Leadership

  • Third-Line Support: Provide expert third-line support for service desk tasks, ensuring the timely resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Escalation Point: Serve as the technical escalation point for both the service desk and the third-line team, offering guidance on challenging problems.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with service desk and management teams to streamline processes and implement best practices.

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

  • Technical Project Lead: Act as the technical lead on projects, working closely with the PMO to ensure on-time, within-scope, and on-budget delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on the technical elements of projects, particularly in modern workplace solutions and Azure workloads.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers to ensure that technical solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Change Management: Take ownership of and optimize third-line-related change processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
