At Luminus, the IT environment is constantly evolving to align with our business goals and deliver value to our customers. To navigate this dynamic landscape, Luminus IT employs a bimodal delivery approach. On one hand, changes are implemented directly by BizDevOps teams organized into release trains, while on the other hand extensive projects are overseen by project managers.
Luminus is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will lead a project team, ensuring that project stakeholders receive the promised benefits. This role involves a careful balance of managing scope, quality, value delivery, timing, and budget to meet commitments and expectations.
Your Daily Job
- General Delivery
You will plan and ensure the successful completion of one or more IT projects within agreed timelines and budget. This involves managing scope, delivery, planning, budget, risks, resources, dependencies, quality, and decisions, while closely working with internal clients and suppliers.
- Project management
You will either take part in or lead the preparation stage (including RFP, pilots, budget and business case definition, project governance, and plans) to ensure a strong project initiation that facilitates the successful delivery of the project's expected value.
- Stakeholder reporting & management
You will act as a reliable partner to your sponsors and stakeholders throughout the project, especially during steering committees, offering regular, clear, and transparent updates.
You prepare decision support materials and keep reports and dashboards up-to-date with the latest project information.
You will proactively suggest solutions to realign the project if issues arise.
In certain projects, managing stakeholders and reporting involves engaging with senior management, navigating company politics, and employing strategies to ensure all stakeholders remain committed to achieving the project objectives.
- Managing multidisciplinary teams in a multidisciplinary context
Your work will influence various business areas through diverse IT applications and infrastructure (including networks and security).
You will oversee the complete implementation process, leading a team of business and IT professionals (such as process owners, key users, solution architects, developers, testers, change agents, etc.).
You will serve as the main contact for stakeholders.
You will ensure that required resources are allocated or available or upstaffed by the respective capacity managers.
You will provide guidance and coaching to both business and IT teams, reporting their performance and progress to the appropriate business and IT managers.
Certain projects may involve coordinating with a wide range of departments and teams across the entire company.
- Value delivery & Tracking
You will assist your sponsor in monitoring the business case, paying close attention to prioritization based on the minimum viable product that maximizes business benefits.
This might involve challenging stakeholders to ensure respecting Time, Budget, Scope and Quality, allowing only justified and approved deviations.
You are responsible for keeping track of all approved changes.
