Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer

We are seeking a IaC Engineer to design and implement scalable, automated solutions for on-premises infrastructure. This role focuses on delivering innovative frameworks while mentoring teams and driving automation-first practices. Please note: this role is specifically for engineers with on-premises infrastructure experience; we are not seeking public cloud specialists for this position.

Tasks and responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and maintain an IaC framework to support scalable on-premises infrastructure.
-Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD principles.
-Integrate automation with ITSM processes and other enterprise systems.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
-Mentor and empower teams in coding, automation, and agile practices.
-Drive adoption of automation across teams and build a community of excellence.

Skills and experiences needed for this role:
-On-Premises Expertise: Significant experience automating and managing large-scale Linux/Windows systems in on-prem environments.
-Development & Programming: Strong Scripting and programming experience (eg, Python, PowerShell, Bash) with a focus on automation and APIs. Proficiency in JSON/YAML and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
-CI/CD & DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (eg, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and GitOps processes. Proficient in developing pipelines for containerized workloads.
-Infrastructure Automation: Expertise in declarative coding practices and tools like Ansible.
-Security & Resilience: Strong understanding of secrets management (eg, Vault) and the security demands of the financial sector.
-Experience integrating Service Catalogues (eg, ServiceNow) into IaC frameworks.
