About the Role:

Our client seeking a highly motivated IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Developer to join a dedicated Interface Team. You'll be at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and supporting the essential internal and external application interfaces that are pivotal to their global operations across Europe and North America.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects, designing and implementing robust message flows and models that keep our business running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain new and existing message flows, message models (DFDL), and other interface processes using IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/ACE.
  • Provide vital production support for interface processes, including troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces critical to operations in Europe and North America.
  • Collaborate effectively with various application teams and developers.
  • Contribute to code reviews to ensure optimal, high-quality solutions.
  • Create and update documentation for new and enhanced processes.
  • Gain a deep understanding of relevant Middleware applications and ongoing projects.

What You Need to Succeed (Essential):

  • Solid experience with IBM Integration Bus v9+ (preferably ACE 12) and IBM MQ v8.0+.
  • Proficiency in developing message flows using various nodes (Compute, SOAP, HTTP, Routing, Mapping, Java Compute, File, Database).
  • Strong skills in developing Message Sets/Definitions using XML, MRM, and TDS formats.
  • Expertise in programming/Scripting languages: Korn Shell, PERL, Java, Ant, SQL, ESQL.
  • Experience working with UNIX (AIX), Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with databases such as Oracle 10G/11i, including PL/SQL and Stored Procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong Change Control skills to manage changes and production issues across departments.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field like Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science, or similar.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Desirable):

  • Experience in financial services.
  • Experience with API Connect/Azure API Management and Apache Kafka.
  • Knowledge of payment message formats (SWIFT, NACHA, X12, EDI, SEPA).
  • Experience with MQFTE v7.0+.
  • Familiarity with testing tools (eg, RFHUtil, SOAP-UI, MBTestClient, JUnit) and project/development tools (eg, MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project, TOAD/SQL Developer, Perforce).
  • An interest in working collaboratively within a team environment.
