Job Description

Job Role

  • Employee Relations will be a key aspect of your role, you will be responsible for driving the operational delivery of employee relations, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Analyse HR trends and data to implement change initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and manage their impact on employees
  • You will understand business needs and strategy and create, communicate and deliver relevant HR policies, processes and initiatives
  • You will be proactive, building mutually respectful relationships with stakeholders, whilst demonstrating excellent influencing skills
  • You will promote and support ongoing regular HR activities e.g. E,D & I, performance excellence, well-being and engagement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies and initiatives to drive organisational success

Job Dimensions

  • You will report to the Senior HR Business Partner and work closely with the HR Adviser and HR Coordinators
  • This is a full-time role covering multiple sites
  • This role will be based at our Head Office (Waltham Abbey) with travel as required
  • The majority of your time will be based in office or on site

About you

  • You have experience in driving best practices typically gained through an HRBP role, preferably within construction or engineering.
  • Proven track record of handling a range of complex employee relations issues and casework
  • Proven experience in delivering strategic project work and initiatives, alongside day-to-day business partnering.
  • Proactively applies HR data, metrics, and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to communicate effectively, build relationships and influencing skills are essential.
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR policy and practice
  • Strong HR System experience utilising a HRIS (Preferably BOB or similar).
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to driving change.
  • Previous exposure within Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing
  • Previous experience in construction or engineering would be beneficial
  • Motivated to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, you will need to be resilient and willing to be flexible
  • Confident with highly developed inter-personal skills with the ability to be assertive and take the lead where necessary
  • Able to plan and prioritise effectively whilst remaining flexible enough to fulfil the requirements of the project or activity
  • Able to maintain high standards of output, with a high attention to detail, in a pressurised working environment
